Two pathways
- Intrinsic: 다양한 자극 --> DNA damage --> p53 response --> BCL2에 의해 mitochondrial 외부막의 투과성이 바뀌면서 cytochrome c가 흘러 나오면서 시작됨
- Extrinsic: CD95/Fas binds its ligand CD95L/FasL --> FADD
