Polycomb group RING finger protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PCGF2 gene. Also known as MEL-18. It's one of Polycomb-group proteins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCGF2)

The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING finger motif and is similar to the Polycomb-group proteins (PcG). PcG gene products form complexes via Protein-protein interaction and maintain the transcription repression of genes involved in Embryogenesis, Cell cycles, and Tumorigenesis.
